District Planning Committee Meeting in Satara Highlights Pending Shivaji Memorial Work
The District Planning Committee Meeting in Satara was recently held at the District Collector’s Office under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Shambhuraj Desai, Minister for Tourism, Mining, and Ex-Servicemen Welfare, and Guardian Minister of Satara district.
On this occasion, Dr. Atul Bhosale actively participated in the meeting and raised significant concerns regarding the incomplete construction of the Swarajyarakshak Dharmveer Shri Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Memorial at Shambhuteerth, Karad. Although the foundation stone was laid by then Chief Minister Hon’ble Eknath Shinde, the project has been stalled due to pending infrastructural issues.
Dr. Bhosale strongly emphasized the need to remove an electricity structure currently blocking progress at the site, and demanded the necessary funds be allocated immediately for its removal to ensure that the memorial construction can resume.
Additionally, Dr. Bhosale also brought forward issues related to Forest Protection Act 2006 that fall under the jurisdiction of the District Collector and require urgent attention for smooth implementation of development work.
Several key dignitaries were present during the meeting, including:
- Hon’ble Chhatrapati Shivendrasinh Bhosale, Minister of Public Works
- Hon’ble Jaykumar Gore, Minister of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj
- Hon’ble Makrand Jadhav-Patil, Minister of Relief and Rehabilitation
- MLA Manoj Ghorpade
- Other elected representatives, senior government officials, and respected members of the community
Through his active participation and firm demands, Dr. Atul Bhosale highlighted the urgent administrative actions required to expedite public interest projects in Satara.
